Master Freediving Course in Amed Bali with Apneista Freediving and Yoga.

Coming very soon… The best Master freediving course in Asia, with optional Yoga and meditation training.

In the last year we have been so taken up with the building of our new training space that we have resisted taking on Master students. We didn’t want to take on Master freediver students while there was still ongoing refurbishment and the possibility of people having a less than perfect Master freediving course.

But this summer we will start our new and improved  Master Freediver internship programme. We intend to make this the best full immersion freedive training course available in Asia, (seeing as Dean’s Blue in the Bahamas is pretty hard to beat.)

Our training space with Cafe is built right on Bali’s best freedive training spot, meaning that freedivers can easily spend most of their waking hours training on lines or freediving the amazing reef which is all the way up and down the coast. When not on the reef or lines students can attend yoga classes in our sala, or receive training in Pranayama and other meditative techniques from Yoga. Full Master freediving course curriculum coming soon…

Freediving in bali

The last while has been plenty of fun with really great students and interesting visitors sharing knowledge of their different fields.

Thanks to the wonderful Lucy of Middle Path Yoga  amongst other things for her excellent class in partner yoga, to the lovely  Ai Futaki who shot great footage and shared her vision with us, (see her Guiness record and her great talk on TED Tokyo about free-diving )  We also had lessons in trance and self hypnosis from Dr Helena. Sharing knowledge and skills keeps life interesting and makes everyone richer. Thanks to everyone for the good times.

For city yogis, practicing Yoga in a beach- side sala to the sound of waves is a sweet luxury. But being able drop into the water right after and swim over deep coral walls is a free-diver’s idea of paradise.

That is Jemaluk bay, in Amed, Bali. We don’t have the extreme depths of Dahab but nor do we have the egos. We have depths to 50 metres to suit beginners and intermediate free-divers and a chilled out atmosphere that is hard to beat.

Here we offer training in most aspects free-diving and yoga education and we are interested in hearing from people who have talents to share such as creative genius with word-press, deep experience in mind/body sciences and experience in setting up a restaurant.

Freediving is for everyone…

In the last while we have seen plenty of examples of just how accessible free-diving is. Here’s a pic of who was our oldest student to date, 65 years young Lloyd who surpassed his own expectations and gave me hopes of training my Dad..

Yesterday we had a very varied group, from one young Polio affected man to a mature lady of 67 years, pushing Lloyd off the top spot.

It’s clear free-diving if approached in the right spirit and atmosphere is accessible to all. Here in Amed we are lucky to have ideal conditions and  almost any depth we want, all a stones throw from the yoga sala. This helps us adapt training to suit circumstance and ability, meaning free-diving can truly be for everyone.

Skill barter for yoga and free-dive training in Amed, Bali.

Some clarification on what we mean by a skill swap as some people might not immediately grasp the concept.

We are interested in hearing from enthusiastic people with interesting or useful skills that they would like share in exchange for training in free-diving and/or Yoga. We wish to avoid people that are just looking for a freebie. The idea is exchange of energy and sharing of knowledge. We give and you give and we all enjoy what we create.

We offer training in free-diving, Yoga Asana, Pranyama, meditation and related aspects of the broader science of Yoga, in a very special corner of Bali. Depending on what type of commitment and synergy there is, there may be some economic reward, but only time will tell.

We’re interested in hearing from people with these skills…

  • High on our list would be an ability to work design magic with word-press and help us with a visual overhaul of our website.
  • A hospitality professional who has started up a restaurant or has enough interest and expertise to help us start our beach-side Organic cafe.
  • Body-workers with a high level of skill and experience.
We’re also open to other suggestions but only from enthusiastic people with a sense of humour. No time wasters or people who take themselves too seriously.
Get in touch or come and see us in Jemaluk Bay, Amed, Bali.

Best place to learn free-diving in Bali….

Apart from the beautiful new training space right on the beach, as before we have the beautiful blue right in front. Which is why we came in the first place.

Here’s some random pics to show what the vibe is like free-diving at Apneista, Amed Bali.
