Freediving Liveaboards

Our Good friend Graham Abbott, (Diving 4 Images) has been cruise director on hundreds of liveaboard boat charters and has years of knowledge guiding trips from Komodo through the Banda sea to Papua. His expert knowledge of the area has led him to be sought after by the BBC, National Geographic and Imax to name a few and he has the reputation for finding exactly what his clients are looking for.

Working together we are planning a Komodo Liveaboard trip for October 2013, this will be on a quality vessel with proven safety record and good level of service. Trust us last thing you want is your dream trip ruined by uncomfortable living conditions.

The trip will include freedive training, Yoga and meditation classes as well as the opportunity to Scuba dive when conditions suit. It is also intended to put ashore to explore the islands and of course the famous Komodo Dragons.

Experienced freedivers will be able to practice on lines daily and beginners will have the opportunity to sit the level 1 and 2 Apneista and/or SSI courses.

Limited spaces are available for this trip so if your interested please get in contact asap.

Sumatran Surfing & Yoga Liveaboard 16/09/13

Jiwa is a classic Indonesian Phinisi that operates in the Sumatran outer islands. Primarily a surfing vessel we are running an 11day charter that slowly cruise’s through the Telo islands before finishing in the Mentawai’s.

Along the way guest will have the opportunity to surf perfect waves, receive daily surf and yoga instruction, as well as experience the culture and atmosphere of this truly stunning part of Indonesia.

The emphasis is very much on healthy living so it’s out with the usual Bintangs and spirits and in with a healthy vegetarian menu, Juices and super-foods.

Currently the trip has 4 spaces left available, for more information about the boat and the trips check www.tradewindsadventures.com

Freedive Nusa Penida

Home to the Mola Mola Sunfish , Nusa penida is a great place to freedive with some of the larger marine life. Tricky and often strong currents mean its not the best place for training, however, with an experienced guide it is the perfect place to swim with Manta Rays which often frequent the imaginatively named “Manta Point” .

Once the rainy season is over we will be starting to offer regular trips to Penida if you are interested in joining then give us a call or send us an email.
